Underwater Felines

(Don't eat me, I eat you!)

Today, as I surfed the interwebs, my eye was caught by a riveting headline reading, "PETA Attempts To Make Fish More Adorable". Upon seeing this, I reasoned that PETA must be putting their efforts to a cause I feel strongly about: better programs on the Style network.

However,  a makeover show set in the deep blue is still to be developed, because the article was not about putting blush on fish to make them more becoming at all. It was about renaming them "sea kittens" to make people sensitive to them and since PETA wants to encourage the use of this clever title, PETA campaign coordinator Ashley Byrne uses it unblushingly. In a serious context, it seems to inspire giggles more than political interests. They also have a site where you can design your own and read it bedtime stories or suchlike, something I must say that I am attracted to this (and I will be partaking in such merriment soon), although I highly doubt that this motion will protect fish from being eaten.

I get you, PETA, you want people to be nice to all things and I think that is a great ideal, but let's put down the crazy and put up some efforts to help neglected, abused, or homeless animals. I haven't read anything about that from you guys recently. It's a good cause but throwing flour at Lindsay Lohan and trying to get an UrbanDictionary entry through is best kept apart from your political aspirations.
